Just wanted to send you a note and let you know how well your products have worked for me. I know you are aware of my trip with Kurt to Alaska in May 2000. The conditions we met there were anything but desirable. Even though we were not successful with a summit, we did get a good start on an unbelievable big wall project. Your insulator boot liners, and vb socks were one tool we had on the wall that was indispensable. Many climbers have told me in the past that vapor barriers were not useful for climbing and would break down with minor-to-extended use. This was not the case with your liners. Without your foot and hand protection Kurt and I wouldn’t be able to even dream about going back in the spring to finish our extreme big wall route.
I recently returned from Pakistan after a successful climbing expedition. My wife and another married couple were fortunate to have summited on the previously unclimbed Hainablak Tower in the Karakoram of Pakistan. This peak was notable because it was featured on the cover of this year’s Alpine Journal. Your equipment was also very helpful during our twenty-one days on the wall above 14,000 feet.
